The film starts well. Decent story, easy to follow. We get to see how close they grew up yet how far away from each other they really are. The final third is where it struggles a bit. All feels rushed and the story just goes overboard and gets a bit silly not making any sense. Now inbetween that there are some big laughs.
Majority of it of course comes from Cena. It’s the way he sticks to the script of playing Ricky Stanicky, its too funny. His humour feels natural, genuine and natural so it shows well on screen. He works his withdrawal symptom plot so well and convincing. When I say these man can lie hehhhhh and the way they lie so smoothly. Fear Men oooo! Like I said the final third gets weird where they try to insert some dark backstories to try and make sense of some nonsensical behaviours and it just didn’t work for me.
All in all there are some good laughs here, just the execution in the end let it down. It’s a cute Friday night comedy after a had days work. Give it a watch to pass some time and a few giggles.
