Overall, I had a fantastic time playing this game. In fact, I couldn’t put it down. I can honestly say, I’m happy there are still a few more collectibles I need to find to finish out that Platinum, as the idea of returning to the world of “The Lost Crown” is a delight. Yes, the story is tropey, yes the voice acting can be a miss at times (with some notable exceptions) but my god, what a joy it was to jump, skid, transport and zip around the exquisitely designed map. What a feeling it was to finally beat, that hard boss, or that perplexing and testing puzzle. As far as this genre goes, i would say the traversal and combat is up there with some of the very best.
Pros
– complex yet satisfying combat
– incredibly well designed whilst challenging traversal puzzles and movesets
– great enemy variety
-huge and exquisitely designed map with tonnes of variety
– gorgeous animation style and graphics
Cons
– at times flat and emotionless dialogue (remember those exceptions though)
– lots of time spent on backtracking and exploration could become tedious in end game collecting.
