Leather face is on smoke here!! Mike Myers, Freddie, Jason tend to display some supernatural tendencies which are never explained but Leather is just brute force. He’s not fast or anything but they way he runs at you will have you startled… you not me… I’m out! In previous iterations it’s a deranged family and all that just causing trouble but in this case it’s a revenge story and yes we are routing for LT.
LET ME EXPLAIN!
Every death, kill, mutilation is all justified. Bro was minding his own business, yall tried to raid his crib, yall killed his mum and soooo… (chainsaw clip). My favourite kill, police van, arm break, stab with bone… simple yet it was a (wtf clip) He’s gifted with extra tools this time round like a hammer and he would give Thor a good match up (yes im talking about this Thor). Similar to other IPs they link it all to the past bringing back past characters sticking to its vengeance theme but it has little impact to the wow factor of the movie. It’s a nice cool addition to the franchise. Very short runtime as it wastes no time getting straight to the point. It’s a good entry to introducing such an iconic character to Gen Z and the whole bus scene made for some good comedy. As always we are left with a signature ending which is always fitting and gives more proof that this is not the end of the leatherface.
Good watch, good entry, horror fans will enjoy it, casuals will also enjoy it… it’s a Netflix showdown with little runtime so give it a go.
Where do you see the franchise going next? Will bringing LT to the big city be a good fit? Why do yall keep hanging out at these remote places?
