Great performances by Sam, Akwafina, Craig, Anthony etc I could name them all as it was all well put together. There were a lot of genuine laughs in the cinema from the little ones so the jokes were well delivered.
The animation was different but very good. It has this cell shaded feel to it. As an adult watching there were lots of fun Easter eggs to enjoy ie Pulp Fiction, Blues Brothers. The plot twists were decent, simple enough for kids to get but also witty to make you say “aaaahhhh”. The car chases deserve a special mention as they made for great action scenes.
Overall the movie is not taking itself too seriously and that’s the high selling point for me. It’s fun, it’s smart and leaves the viewers wanting more. It delivered and it’s a recommended watch for the little ones.
