I love you 3000… and now… I love you in every universe 🥹
Right, now the movie, this spectacle is not for kids. Marvel and Sam Raimi literally pushed the ratings limit right down to the edge but it had me jump and have a few WTF moments. I loved it. It wastes no time introducing its villain and full plot point and from there you are locked and engaged through out, so much so that 2hour runtime just flies by. The plot was quite meh for me as logically there were better motivations to drive our villain.
Best thing about this film is Madame Olsen. An amazing performance showcasing her range and in this case her villainy prowess. She embodied her inner witch and showed Marvel I am here for the next 7 years (as per her new contract) and I can play any role you want me to, she was brilliant! Despite her still missing her Central European accent which disappeared with a weak but interesting explanation LOL.
A major highlight of the film are the cameos. Some big big names make their 1st appearances in the MCU but very very disappointing exits. Despite their entrances they were utilised as tools to showcase the extent of Wanda’s power which I wasn’t exactly mad at due to the amazing fight scenes that followed… #WhatMouth we met the head of Marvels 1st family which was perfect casting but both Loki and Spiderman reminds us that the multiverse contains very different looking variants, so lets pray and hope.
Overall its a must see not just for continuity but for the spectacle it is. Its not the best Marvel film but its shot beautifully, brilliant cast, amazing action scenes. More than recommended.
