Furiosa is a very good story to add to the Mad Max saga. Furiosa was shrouded in mystery for a while. A distinctive character who even overshadowed Max in his own movie and yet we knew little. They fully filled in the blanks here and they did it very well. From her childhood all the way to where we last left her, it does a great job going into detail on how she came to be. From the shaved head to the one arm… they leave no detail out, no questions are left unanswered.
So many dynamic characters delivering a few laughs. Anya’s display was awesome. Her rage, silence and just pure resistance to die comes across so well on screen. Hemsworth proves some more he can play on both sides of the coin… hero and villain. Most will agree when i say he was one of the highlights. Known for its violence and gore there wasnt that much this time around. Fairly timid to be honest. That isnt to say there was no action. Dementus monster truck was doing the most with its Mario Kart shortcuts. Furiosa is a revenge story that sticks the landing. The climatic death is very very satisfying. It really grew on me… in abundance!
Overall Furiosa is an excellent cinematic experience and is a must see on the big screen. My only upset which is the same with most prequels is the story goes no where after. I really want to see Anya carry the Furiosa mantle but i also really appreciate Charlize so what the f**k am i supposed to do with all this greatness Miller! What!
