It was fun for me. Was it perfect NOOOOOO! Was it near game of thrones level FAAAAAAARRRRR FROM! But we did have fun here. It does take way too long to get going. Aunti Angie with her impactful one liners as always. Giving it the big auntie radar going off vibes. I liked the stalker element. The whole cat and mouse format. With a whole dragon on her tail there were still strenuous obstacles to still overcome. Had these like claustrophobic sections, climbing on spikes and loads of diff things… really put these Disney princesses through the ringer.
The story is driven by these weird visions of being able to see the past princesses… out of nowhere. Then you have the backstory of the dragon and how this whole ritual came to be… full of very bad plot holes. There was this hilarious plot where she basically had to replay the whole cave lol yall were losing me but stayed in. one thing you don’t mess with when it comes to me and my fantasy is the lore. I like it consistent. Having a dragon that breathes fire but can also be burnt by that same power does not sit well with me and that’s where I draw the line. Netflix stop playing with me. It had a satisfying ending which left u in a decent space.
Overall I went in with really low expectations and it came out a bit above that. The CGI was brilliant, actors were decent and especially the dragon. With too many plot holes, very underdeveloped characters and just poor writing, by the time you get to the end you will be burnt out (pun intended). It can pass for background noise but one things for sure… bussss sttoppppppppp!
Did you enjoy this movie? do you want a sequel? What did you think of Millie as an action woman?
