Atlas

  • JLO is back!

Atlas was ok. Just another warning from the powers that be that the AI is war is coming and how we are far from ready cos yall be telling Alexa all your business. The story was basic and predictable with zero to few surprises. She hates AI then seemingly falls in love with an AI (i think) it just got real emotional and a bit weird. The story does try so many different things. It attempts like a huge plot twist that was meh and numerous times tried to play on the heart strings. Simu as the villain was very bland. He was motionless even for a robot… you will get what i mean when you watch it. Simpy put, I expected a lot more from him and he didnt deliver. Atlas has some major progression issues with some bad use of plot armour. A guy gets kidnapped and tortured for hours and in that whole time, no one thought to check his pockets for the one thing that could win this war? Just tell us you got bored of writing and wanted to end it quick. So so poor. There are cool fight scenes with the mechs and i really enjoyed those.

Overall the potential of the movie was overshadowed by the cheesy dialogue and poor attempt of a plot twist. It actually started well then lost its way. Its good to see JLO back and i hope she didnt cancel her concert cos she thought this film was gona change her life or something.

Is this another Netflix flop? Is this JLOs entry point as an action woman? Do you want to see this movie get a sequel? Are you anti AI?
