This movie is a fun ride heavily carried by Ryan. It’s witty and smart with what it tries to do. A trio of geniuses trying to outsmart each other on every turn. The masses say Ryan is stuck in that same realm as @kevinhart4real in which they are unable to break character. For me if it works it works. Just imagine having a job where u just get to be yourself all day everyday 🥳 dream come true I tell ya.
Plot twists here and there but all in all it’s just an all round fun display. It’s reminiscent of a 90s drama thief movie i.e. oceans eleven. Gal Gadot feels very 3rd fiddle. I don’t know if the other 2 are just way big of stars or what but it felt like the movie would have survived without her. The Rock was decent. He actually played a different character in which his muscles to a back seat and he was more the slight genius role. The chemistry between Dwayne and Ryan is brilliant. It seems due to Dwayne’s good sense of humour he’s able to still shine beside these big time comedians.
It’s a nice cute watch and I’d recommend it. It’s not too long so can easily be squeezed into a mid week Wednesday watch.
Few highlights: Hilarious cameo by Ed Sheeran. First movie to come with Wales subtitles too 👏🏾
