Bit of a strange one this was. Raises too many questions and not enough explanations. It felt very separated from the MCU except the few name mentions here and there and could have easily passed as a stand-alone franchise. In classic Discas (Disney/Lucasarts) fashion a bulk of the story is explained in scrolling text form which by the way is a warning to any viewer things are about to get complicated so you can’t fall asleep.
Some historian landmarks were hit in this. The MCUs first ever sex scene and the first ever gay superhero 👏🏾 more signs it’s a mature audience. The action was very good. Each character got to showcase their abilities and trust me when I say there is a lot to display. The enemies just seem brainless with minimal story and the most anti climatic final duel. Small little plot twists with betrayal etc just about hold it all together but blink and you will miss it all. With the ending being so weak I’m not sure where the franchise can go from here. Post credit scenes are very very interesting but add more and more confusion. At this point it’s a case of putting our trust in Marvel and seeing where they go with it.
What did you think of this team up? Do you think it was rushed? Did they need to build up to it? Does the story fit into the past storylines for you? Did it all make sense? Are we ready for more mature scenes in the MCU? Comment below….
