Army of Thieves

The first of many prequel movies planned by Zack Snyder. It made sense to start with Dieter as he was a fan favourite and carries the most fan theory chatter since the original. Being a strong pivotal character in the overall plot as well as the main source of comedic value I enjoyed his display. In this movie it’s more of the same but takes a deep dive into his background and his come up. Movie struggles to hold your attention as the reason this franchise is successful is simply due to its zombie element. I believe the director knows this so they shoe horn little clips via dreams/visions of zombie encounters. For a smart individual robbery film it’s ok, nothing too special. For an addition to that snyderverse it did nothing. Character development is always good but it would have been better to create a mini series, 1 hour long for each character and just get back to the zombie marathon.

Can only say it’s Netflix worthy but still an empty 2 hour feature length. Way too long. You lose nothing missing it out.

Did you enjoy it? Did it add value to your fandom of the franchise. Is Dieter dead? Comment your thoughts…
