Could be Dave’s best role to date. Given his status what I liked most about this was the lack of focus on his muscles and more on his acting chops even though it felt like minimal lines. A few plot points that fell short was a bunch of military experts agreeing to go into a city of zombies for only £50 million dollars 😒 not only did that feel like chicken change but as more characters are introduced that figure starts to get lower and lower for such a high risk mission 🤷🏾♂️ we also had pregnant zombies which can only mean these zombies at some point stopped feasting on corpses and decided to have intercourse 🤷🏾 we then learn that u can sacrifice humans to the zombies to grant safe passage which translates to you just helping them grow their army 🤷🏾♂️ brain dead plots… (PUN INTENDED)
A new take on the zombie fiction with them being organised and smart which at a thought alone makes it automatically terrifying. The star of the movie for me… zombie 🐅 Great action scene follows with Chambers makes u wish she lasted in the movie. One of the best kills in the movie does not even involve biting or bullets… I won’t say much but it was one NECK of a scene ☺️ The best kill of the movie was with the tiger. Absolute killer scene. In most movies u would have the “monster” grab the victim and usually pull them off screen with the assumption that person didn’t make it. What Zack does here is show us the whole encounter from start to finish that surprisingly carried some pity moments for him but at the same time lovely to watch.
I liked this movie. Was fairly surprised of the level of character development which worked well as each character was interesting enough and also got enough screen time. The setting of Vegas also worked well. The emotional link between the ending of the film with father and daughter to husband and wife worked well too. I’ll say it’s a must watch regardless of it’s run time which is only proof Zack Snyder has found a new home for his movies in which he has free reign. That can only be good news for us!!
