It felt like a huge budget used on a mediocre production. It had the ingredients, just purely executed. For a movie that was delayed so much you it gets you to wonder what did they do with that extra time and why does it still feel rushed 😪
The plot wasn’t terrible. Just wasn’t fully fledged out. It was a neat twist on the Xaviers school with it being Essex Corporation instead and would have been even better if one of my favourite villains made an appearance, Mr Sinister. He doesn’t 🙄 and if you’re not up to date with your marvel knowledge you’d easily miss the Easter egg. The character line was ok and somewhat memorable. Their acting very questionable… I pointing at u Dani Moonstar 👀 Magik stood out the most. The rebel type, non afraid to kill kind of character, with the coolest power out of the lot.
With a poor final climax, medi villain, weak love story and poor ending overall it’s safe to this movie will not be watched again or even remembered. I’m happy for some characters to make the jump to MCU but other than that it can remain as a stand-alone. With all that said this still isn’t the worse superhero movie so watching it won’t mess up your taste buds.
