I don’t know what partnership WWE has with Vin diesel but we can see the career transitions to Hollywood 😂
The underlying theme they have been pushing from the 1st movie has been family. This instalment in the franchise takes a deeper dive into the family message. We go way back where they finally explain the backstory of Dom going jail from beating someone with a pipe. In typical Fast fashion the motivations behind taking on the “next mission” is just not well thought out and unrealistic 😅 Cue Dom somehow spotting his identical chain in the most fuzziest footage I’ve ever seen… then 🤯 off we go! Let’s discuss what sci-fi, fake, impossible, unrealistic stuff in the film which whether you wana admit it or not is the reason we love it and keep coming back ☺️ Now bare in mind the Fast family are now government official super spies but yet… regardless of the high danger tactical mission they embark on everyone especially Dom is in T-shirts, jeans and Tims 😂 I love it! No tactical gear! We’ve all seen the bridge scene from the trailer 👀 with not a single seat belt in sight, we leave the scene without a scratch 😅 There is a running joke in the film from our resident comedian Tyrese which is to say the family is immortal/invincible. It’s a play on what the audience is always thinking. It works. Of all 10 films Cypher is still best villain for me. Has a small role here but still effective. John’s character worked for the movie and I did like the callback to Brian’s ordeal in the first movie (RIP). This franchise was riddled with cameos and callbacks. From Cardi B, Bow Wow, Francis Ngannou, Brewster, Han and the legendary Mirren. Blink and you could miss some of these cameos. Back to Fast unrealism 😂 we went to space!! Yes we did!! In a Fiero I might add! Gotta love it! Another scene shows Dom driving through Edinburgh in the most suspicious standout muscle car ever and not being stopped by feds! I was up there in a golf and got stopped twice 😂 I just can’t! Hans revival explanation just didn’t add up, not even a little bit. As Tyrese repeatedly asked the character “but how did u survive” it felt very real and like he was just as confused as the audience lol. It had all the ingredients to make your Fast movie what it is, it still falls short story wise. This instalment introduces new characters which we are happy to forget and just felt like a repeat. As consumers we are at the point where the only reason we keep watching is to find out how the whole franchise ends. A decent watch for the action, nothing more.
What did you think? Is this the best FF film you’ve seen? Comment your thoughts…
