Hollywood strikes again!!! It was all a no go. From plot to cast to setting. Should have been left alone or again left to asian cinema to do it justice. The first 20min just felt like an advertisement for the US army. It was very unneeded. There was one scene Milla depicts well as it was literally how I would feel if I encountered a bunch of eight legged freaks. Then another scene she tries to give a motivational speech and it was cringing 🤦🏾♂️
Supporting cast felt like all cameos as they didn’t last long enough for us to even care. TI puts his acting chops to test and I say that in jest. Everything Hollywood is what is wrong with the film except for Ron Pearlman. We welcome Ron to all franchises with open arms. What a legend! Tony himself did minimal and felt like a wasted asset. It had potential but this first swing has killed it.
It just isnt a good film and will not be remembered. I did not even realise the film was out which tells me the creators didn’t bother with much marketing.
I mean if you’re fan of the franchise like me, watch it just to see the depiction of Diablo and Ratholos on the big screen, the weapons, the familiar locations etc then return right back to the game to wash the foul test out of your mouth… or if you’re a fan of Milla and want to see her go toe to toe, hand to hand combat with a full blown dragon and win (KMT) then tune in. If you’re not familiar with the games then you will be very cross watching this. It’s a big miss from me!
