It’s not an army shooter show, it actually has a lot of heart. 2 distant siblings find out about each other and find out their dad had 2 families (maybe more? City boysssss) and they go on a wild goose chase to find out his deepest darkest secrets… and this has them literally travelling the world. What I loved most about this show was it was human focused story. Godzilla is the star but he’s not central to the story. Not exactly. Unlike the feeble plot they tried to push with Millie Bob and Godzilla having a connection, Big G is doing what he does and dependant on what side of the timeline we are viewing they are either trying to kill him or protect him. It works so well.
We have followed Godzilla for years on years in movies, tv shows, comics, etc and known of Monarch the evil corporation, however this deep dive into the actual heart of the organisation actually leaves you wondering whether they are villains or heroes in this universe. My new favourite titan by far is the now introduced ice breathing, heat seeking mutt… what an episode! This is a top tier show and Apple did amazing to secure this property. There are soooo many branches this show can go and the way its left open ended and that, for me it’s a win. Whether you’re up to date with lore, a fan or not this here is a recommended watch!
