Wonder Woman was created in 1941. That is relevant because its proof there are decades of content to actually pull from for content. Unfortunately this one was a miss. I struggle to write this review because I barely remember the movie as the movie was unfortunately not memorable… not for anything positive anyway. These type of movies are fiction but please please they still have to make sense. You cannot butcher a plot point and then you’re reply is “well its not real anyway”. Us nerds will rise and burn a house down lol. Like most superhero movies it starts with the heroine doing what she does, saving the day. Thats fine we can work with that… however the movie tries to perceive Diana has a secret identity… how??? First of all she has no disguise, she does her deeds in broad daylight (whilst others use the cover of night time or simply wear a mask) and worst of all, she enters an active crime scene, INTRODUCES HERSELF then proceeds to destroy the security cameras. WE the community will struggle to accept this. Make a decision, hidden identity or let her be free. Next up the plot, the villain, the story, the action. Genies and wishes like come on! We have to do better. Cheetah is a major villain for WW. Her original origin works well, its there, written for all to see… just use it. Due to taking this Alladin wishes route, any form of a return will have me back here asking… let it make sense. Although a good performance by Kristen Wigg, she just wont be missed in future showings. Nice warm showing by Chris Pine who brought the comedic element to the film and did so well. Pedro brilliant as always was probably the highlight of the film. A lacklustre reasoning for his villanious motive but good performance by him. He was clearly a depiction of Mr Trump. A TV personality who promises you so much and tells you what you want to hear but fails to deliver whilst seemingly working his way up to presidency. The action is minimal with just a handful of scenes. None worth discussing. The 1st movie removed her ability to fly to keep her more grounded and relatable. In this I’m still not sure if she can fly, this movie is set before BVS and JL so did she lose her ability to fly?, how she’s able to ride lightning bolts with her lasso, conjure up magic from her bare hands and be invisible, the absolute pointless armour in which supported her in no way as it was no match for the overgrown cat, Then you want to fool the masses with some plot point about only people he touches can make a wish but yet if you gain access to the BBC broadcasting camera apparently the particles from you go through the camera to the satelitte through the tv and touches people (I am even angered writing this)! These plots needed more of an explanation. I feel we were force fed and just told to accept it.

I do think its better than the first movie… which says a lot about the franchise/universe as a whole. The best thing about this movie is Hans Zimmer’s score, always knows how to get the emotions running! All in all DCEU has work to do!
