The best DC film by faaaar!!! Story was put together well and made sense (in a sci fi sense). The cheese was minimal but still present. Mamoa has fully convinced me he is Aquaman. Like I fully believe Atlantis is real and we as land dwellers should be ready just in case!
The combat in this film is authentic! You really feel these are powerhouse superheroes fighting. Dont know if its due to the sound effects used but I felt every blow thrown. Film was expected to be CGI heavy but it was used well indeed. Apart from a few drops in frame rate in some scenes it was very well produced. So well that you forget all of this action is taking place underwater. Oceanmaster as a villain didnt start off well but eventually grew into the role and OWNED it well!!! Costume was certy!
Best villain would be the Manta family. The dynamic and reasoning to their villainous antics made absolute sense! Black Manta put on a great display. Mera was a bit shallow and dead acting wise but he combat was very convincing.
Recommended cinema worthy! Worth a more than one trip!
