John Cena steals the spotlight effortlessly. For some time now, it has been obvious that he has immense talent for comedy. His brilliant comedic timing easily outshines his wrestling background. Meanwhile, Eric André brings pure, unadulterated chaos to the screen. His manic character feels a little exhausting at times, but he delivers genuinely funny scenes. Ultimately, their brilliant dynamic chemistry works well. When the film focuses on the lead duo, it instantly hits its stride.

Visually, the vibrant cinematography perfectly matches the frantic pacing. Fast-paced camera cuts amplifies the chaotic energy of the ridiculous narrative. Honestly, Little Brother relies heavily on crude, gross-out humour. If you love Eric André or John Cena, this isn’t an awful movie. However, it noticeably lacks originality and relies far too much on predictable formulas. Thankfully, the narrative is still entertaining and somewhat sweet at its core. It works best when it avoids trying to seem more important than it is. Expect a friendly, slightly outrageous comedy carried by two leads with fantastic energy in Little Brother.
